Jewels
DVD cases, digital prints, resin, artificial insects (2025)

JEWELS (BURNS), studio VIEW, 2025
Pirated DVD covers that emerged in the 2000s, on the fringes of official distribution channels. These often makeshift objects reflect a parallel circulation of images, where graphic approximation becomes a language of its own. By appropriating the visual codes of piracy, the piece condenses a series of visions of artificial intelligence as they have appeared, unstable and proliferating, through popular culture.
